My name is Becky, also known under the artist name Peony Illustrations.

The name came to be back in 2019 because Peonies, the flowers, symbolize new beginnings, which I really needed at that time. I won‘t be going into too much detail, but let‘s just say that I was 19, in an end of teenage era crisis, unsure of what path to take. In the end art was what I truly wanted to pursue.

I am a 25 year Austrian/ half Filipino living in the beautiful city of Vienna, together with my wonderful husband and two cats, Aura and Mercedes. Currently, I create all of my work in our cute little home.

My artwork is mostly made digitally through Procreate, but I also love to work with other mediums, such as gouache, or clay. What I love most about creating art is playing around with different textured brushes and the contrast between black and white, usually depicting my original characters from the made up universe of ‘Ghost Haven‘ or other creatures in fairytale settings. Through my art I hope to convey a sense of child-like wonder and create characters that others can resonate with on a deeper level.
